2007 OK Runner Classic

The 2nd annual OK Runner Classic will be hosted by Norman High School and be held at the NHS Soccer Complex located directly behind Irving Middle School.  A coaches meeting will be held at 3:30.  There will a high school division (both varsity and JV races) and a junior high division.

 

4:00        JV Girls                                               2 miles

4:20        Varsity Girls                                       2 miles

4:45        JV Boys                                                3 miles

5:15        Varsity Boys                                        3 miles

5:45        JH Girls                                                1 mile

6:00        JH Boys                                                2 miles

 

Directions:  From the North:  I-35 South merge left at the 1st Norman exit, US-77 S via exit 113 for about 3 miles.  Turn left (East) on Robinson for 2.5 miles.  Turn Right (South) on 24 Ave. NE.  Drive 1 mile to Alameda. Continue (South) on 24 Ave. N.E for ¼ mile. The NHS Soccer/Softball/XC parking lot is on the right.  From the South: EAST Highway 9 exit off of I-35 (108A) and travel East for 3.5 miles until you come to 24th Avenue, take a left (North) for 2 miles.  The NHS Soccer complex will be on your left (west side of 24th) where you will have plenty of room to park buses.

 

Awards: Team plaques will be awarded to first and second place teams in Varsity and Junior High Divisions.  Medals will be awarded to the top 30 individual finishers in each race.

DEADLINE TO REGISTER FOR RUN IS FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 7

Teams showing up on day of race without registering will not be allowed to participate.  Any teams that are interested in participating in the meet should e-mail Tim Thompson at okrunning@coxinet.net or Scott Monnard at monnardo@yahoo.com as soon as possible, as the number of teams that will be allowed to run will be limited to no more than 12 teams.

Entry Fee:                             $60 for each single varsity team (JV included)

                                                $100 if school brings both boys & girls team

                                                $50 for each junior high team                                               

                                                $80 if school brings both boys and girls junior high team

All teams must e-mail names of runners that will be running.  Please distinguish if boys or girls and if they are varsity or junior varsity or junior high division.  The deadline once again is Friday, September 7, and names must be e-mailed to Tim Thompson at   okrunning@coxinet.net
