Pawhuska Invitational Track Meets

On behalf of the Pawhuska Public School system, we extend to you and your teams an invitation to participate in our boys and girls track and field meets.  We have a great eight-lane track and excellent field facilities.  Our varsity meet will be electronically timed.

 

Entry Fee:                                  Junior High Division-$50 entry fee for each boys and girls in

                                                    each grade, or $10 per individual if less than four participants.

                                                    High School Division-$75 entry fee for each boys and girls team

                                                    or $10 per individual if less than four participants.

 

Time:                                          Junior High Division: Coaches meeting 9:30a.m.  Meet begins at

                                                    10:00a.m. 

                                                    High School Division:  Coaches meeting 9:30a.m. Field events

                                                    begin at 10:00a.m.  Running events begin at 10:30a.m.

 

JH Divisions:                            7th girls, 7th boys, 8th girls, 8th boys.

 

Limitations:                               Each contestant is limited to four events including relays.

                                                    Each school is limited to three entrants in each event and one

                                                    relay per team.  Three throws will be given in the shot and

                                                    discus and three jumps in the long jump.  Junior High

                                                    participants must declare their division at the start.

 

Medals:                                      Medals will be awarded to the top three places.

 

Trophies:                                   Trophies awarded to the top teams in each division.

 

Team Points:                             Individual events will be pointed to the top six places as follows:

10-8-6-4-2-1.                Relays will be pointed to the top six places as

                                                    follows: 20-16-12-8-4-2.

 

Equipment:                                3/16 inch spikes or smaller required.  Pawhuska Schools will

                                                    provide starting blocks.  Please no tape on the running surface.

                                                   

Hospitality Room:                    From various eateries around Pawhuska including Bad Brad’s

 

Parking:                                      All buses will park at the softball field on the East side of our stadium.

 

Oklahoma Secondary Schools Activities Association rules will apply.
