Jack Whitt of Norman North High School set a new boys' State Record in the pole vault of 17' 10 3/4" at Putnam City Saturday March 7, 2009. His vault surpassed the old record of 17' 9 1/2" set by Joe Dial of Marlow High School in 1981 at the Western Heights meet.
